BassMaster Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 What do you believe is the best crankbait in your lure arsenal? Quote
BassinCnR Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 my favorite at this point is the bagley fat cat 3-5 foot depth ....love it. Sure it will change soon though!! Quote
Stickling Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 rebel brokeback .. may change this spring tho Quote
BassMaster Posted January 17, 2005 Author Posted January 17, 2005 Mine has 2 be the rapala dt-6! Quote
Will Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 hhhmmmm tough question. I would probably have to say a bomber square A. Quote
cfruel Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Strike King Series 3 #508 (Green Back and Chartreuse) Quote
Chris Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Bandit crankbait period! Day in and day out this bait will catch fish in clear to muddy water. This is the king of the fish catching machines. Quote
playmaker47 Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Mann's 1- Crankbait. If you don't have a few of these you are missing out. Quote
Danarchy Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 I'd like to say that the Cotton cordell Big Os are the best in my box, with the classic square lip that deflects off of nearly everything, but something inside says Rapala Jointed Shadrap, in crawfish colors. Probably because I've caught more fish on the Rapala, but then again, I used the shad rap more than the Big Os. Maybe if I used the Big Os more, then they'd be my choice. Quote
IneedAnewScreenName-98375 Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Been using Banditt CB since 1987 or so and I have to say their the best without a doubt. Catches fish and you can drag them though just about any kind of wood cover without getting hungup. I need to go buy a few more Quote
thewayweball02 Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Lucky Craft Moonsault CB 200 in American Shad. This baits runs about six feet and has a tight wiggle to it. They also make on called a Moonsault CB 350 which dices around eleven to twelve feet. Lucky Craft crankbaits are my number one choice, after that I lke to use Normans. Quote
Guest notserp89m Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 There are lures that come and go but one that has proved it staying power over and over again is the Rapala Shad Rap. It always runs straight out of the box and it is just a well proven fish catcher and i bet 90% of the people that post on this forum at least have one in their tacklebox. I bet you cant say that about any other crank. Quote
Aaron_S Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 My favorite is the Rapala dt6, I have always used crankbaits a little bit for years. Not until last year did I use them very heavily but I am glad I did because the DT6 in hot mustard was a real fish catcher. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 18, 2005 Super User Posted January 18, 2005 I like the Bagley BII and the Bomber Square A, but for the "very best" I nominate the Lucky Craft LV 500. If you don't want to pay the price, Rat-L Trap but change out the treble hooks. Quote
Fisher of Men Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 That would be a 1/2 ounce Chrome/Blue or Chrome/Black(cloudy day) Rat-L-trap. It's very versatile and can be fished deep, jigged, ripped beneath the surface, etc. If I had to choose one hard bait to fish with I'd go with the Chrome/Blue. My wife has spanked me hard with one on more than one occasion while I meticulously worked a worm. :-[ Quote
ABLE2DISABLE1 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I have to say my favorite is the old school storm baits in blk/purple white belly and bluegill, only have a hand full left though. Now the DT/Series has hooked me good along with old trusty Lightning Shad. Quote
swimbait Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Blast from the past. Some people have nothing better I guess :-/ Quote
Super User islandbass Posted August 14, 2009 Super User Posted August 14, 2009 timber tigers by wordens lures I can't wait to give those a try. Rapala DT6s have been my favorite until I started making my own. BTW, I'm a believer in the resurrection. ;D Quote
D4u2s0t Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 notice the trend? almost everyone gave a different answer. what does that mean? there is no best. the one that is best, and catches the most fish, is the one that spends the most time in the water. i like the xrap and also have a few others i use, just got a bunch on ebay that i'll be trying out. Super User Raul Posted August 14, 2009 Super User Posted August 14, 2009 Blast from the past. Some people have nothing better I guess :-/ Don 't know about you but it 's getting scary, 2,3,4 years old threads have been leaving their graves too oftenly these past months :-/........ Dang, I know why ! , it 's all them Michael Jackson 's THILLER videos they 've been playing lately since the death of the King of Pop. Quote

Blue Streak Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Maybe we are just runng out of new ideas for things to discuss. Let's all go fishing and think about it. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted August 14, 2009 Super User Posted August 14, 2009 For me it's a tossup between the SK Series 5 and a Bomber Fat Free Shad Quote
