Thanks to everyone who helped me with my hook issues on the Poison Tail mold in my thread about it.

I got the mold, but haven't gotten a chance to get any Mustad hooks for it, so I bent a couple of my Owner Cutting Point hooks to fit, as I love these hooks anyways.

Here's my first one. I've yet to get sticky eyes for them, so some careful manipulation of some black powder paint worked good enough for now. I messed around with a few different options, and finally came up with a Sexy Shad skirt I liked. More pics later!

That a flourocarbon weed guard??

Very nice work indeed. I also use the clear weedguard when I use bright colors especially the sexy shad. I think a clear weedguard makes the jig.

Thanks everyone!

And cadman is right, it's just a clear weedguard.

I'm really liking the shape of this head. Can't wait to try them out in the spring... Now if winter would only hurry up!

I have been using that mold for a couple of years. I like it so well that I have sold most of my other molds.

For the eyes, I take a small dowell and put a dab of white like you have the black then when it dries I use a pointed stick and make the center black.
