I would love to come down one day and fish. I can not afford to take off work more than one day. I only live about 2.5 hrs away and I have never fished guntersville. Any seat openings still available? Would only be able to stay and fish one day.

I have a seat open on Wednesday if you want it?

PS> RW didn't you get the memo....."The RIG" has been banned from all Bass Resource events! :laugh5:

I hope not. I just made five more last night. :tongue8:

I have arrived in GA. Will be on the Gville tomorrow, bright and early.

I don't know how you like to fish but I'd check the channel ledges !!!!! I've been fishing mid lake on the backside of the river channel in the grass beds in 5-12 fow using topwaters ,swimbaits ,2.5 crankbaits . On the ledges dt10 cranked off into 25 fow and of coarse any multibait rig of your choice.

WOW CHRIS LANE! That's sweet! I need a fishing partner sunday if he's getting there by then :D

And my one little A-rig will be there as well.

It's like throwing a chandelier out in the water, watch the big splash and tow it in....keep doing it til your arm eventually falls off :roflmao1:

Just a thought, but, I have a Potato Cannon we might be able to modify to launch one of them there A-Rigs out aways to get some additional yardage :)

Does the A-Rig rotate when retrieved? When I was a teen we would troll with a three bait rig that we would adjust until the two outer baits rotated around the center bait, the Blue's seemed to love it if I recall.

IMHO, I like the One person, One rod, One reel, One line, One bait, One fish mentality. :fishing1: I'm not trying to feed a family, or build my biceps, I just want a little fun.

I actually have a 3 bait rig since the 5 bait Alabama rig is illegal in TN. I only recently got it and tried it out on the small lake behind my house. Caught a fish on the first cast, used it for 15 more minutes with no more action. It does not rotate. I plan on bringing it so we can play with it some on Tuesday and see what happens.....might even go to BPS tonight and pick up a real 5 bait AL rig.

I didn't review all 40 pages, so this announcement might be a repeat:

If you are interested in trying some Yo-Zuri #6 on your spinning tackle

and/or #12 or #15 on baitcasting gear, you are welcome to all you want!

I bought some "pounds" last fall and have too many "miles" to ever use.

You are welcome to spool up one reel or a dozen.

Thats pretty cool Kent. I wish I wouldnt have respooled my reels I'd like to try some of the 6lb. I'll see if I can find an extra spool for my spinning reel.

I also just checked the weather. They changed the forcast. Looks a little better then it did.

Mike, what spinning reel is it? I have some spare Shimano 2500 spools, already rigged up with hybrid 6#.

Well my 2500 stradic spool should fit that reel as well! I will have a backup with me just in case!

Made my last trip to BPS.....fishing Percy Priest Lake Sat til noon or so then down to the Big G for the soreee. Got all my gear together, with the Priest trip that increased my arsenal to 11 sticks....ridiculous when I figure to use no more than 4 or 5. Can't complain about the wife packing shoes for a trip anymore!! Got to pack up some threads to wear tomorrow and its off for 5 days of fishing bliss. Can't wait to see my old friends (been too long) and make some new ones.

OK, folks, here’s the schedule.

Saturday, Apr 21. Ghoti’s wine, cheese and sandwich soiree. If you can, arrive around 18:00 to help set-up and get a first shot at the wine and fixins. The formal event starts at 19:00. Tuxedos, or tank-tops and jean cut-offs, or anything in between, are required. The location is yet to be determined, but will in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. This year, a Biggest Bass contest will be announced and the rules will be explained on that evening. There is a possibility that Ghoti may be required to rent a meeting room. If so, contributions will be solicited for the room only. Ghoti insists on footing the bill for everything else.

Sunday. Boaters and co-anglers meet in the lobby of the hotel at 18:00 to get paired up. Dinner is on you.

Monday. RW will prepare his world-renowned burgers for the group. The location is a short walk down the hill from the hotel at the picnic grounds. Dinner is at 19:00, but RW will need volunteers at around 18:00 to help set up, chop, carve, etc. We are requesting a donation of $5.00 a head to help offset RW’s costs.

Tuesday. Same as Sunday.

Wednesday. The BIG night with Chris Lane! Arrive at 18:00. Dinner will be held in a private room at the Top ‘O The River restaurant, just a few minutes drive from the hotel. The address is 7004 Val Monte Drive. It is adjacent to our original location, which I’ve heard has now been razed. On arrival at the restaurant, you will need to announce that you are with the BassResource group. In addition to Chris Lane, there will be a raffle to benefit Tackle The Storm foundation.

BTW, dinner is on you.

Thursday. Alpster will be serving his, also world-renowned, Cajun jambalaya to the group. It will also be served at the picnic grounds. As usual, helpers needed at 18:00, dinner served at 19:00. Once again, we will pass the hat, asking for a $5.00 contribution. The highlight of the evening will be the award for the Biggest Bass.

Friday. That’s it folks. Most of us are headed for the house.

I have everything sitting out ready to go as well! Looks like I am going to sneak out of town even earlier and get down Friday night! Then its off to fishing the Big G Saturday with Rhino! Only one short trip to Bass Pro to replace Rhino's transom saver that somebody needed more than he did, while he was finishing the break in of his motor today! I hate a thief worse than anything. Don't worry Rhino, I'm picking you up one before I leave town!

Jeff, don't worry about picking up a transom saver. Rhino is getting the recurrent brain-fart syndrome. He'll find the transom saver in his truck tomorrow and not remember how it got there. :laugh5:

Have almost everything ready on the boat. Still need to pack the chorts n chirts Friday nite. I am definitely gonna miss my littlins. It's gonna be hard to be away from them an entire week...again. The wife and I just got back from our route 66 Roadtrip in Arizona and Las Vegas. I'm taking the iPad so I can FaceTime them. That will take the edge off. This Roadtrip is the last real "vacation" I'll get this year. I'm not counting Disneyworld in June as a real vacation. That's pure work with my crew.

Simp just called me and we did a little game planning. I got him in my boat on Sunday so lookout y'all, with Simp's guide services plotting the course, I think we just might take a real shot at that big bass contest! :)

See y'all Saturday!

The only place I didn't look is the glove compartment. If it's in there, I'm better than Houdini. It's the only, and the last time I did not lock up the tailgate on my cap. Yes, I did forget to secure it.
