Never used one, but would like to have one.

Might even get one next summer.

For those who don't know what Hydrowave is (I'd never heard of it),

http://www.hydrowave.com/index.htm

Being a skeptic, I'm suspicious of any product that claims to "ignite a feeding frenzy."

Just think of all the tournaments one could win with a Hydrowave and fishing with an Alabama rig baited with Yum plastics!! :D;)

I hadn't given much thought to getting one of these. Then I went to the web site mentioned. Four bills and change is some money, but it isn't an outrageous amount of money. I've spent four bills and change on dumber stuff before.

I've spent four bills and change on new suits quite a few times, and I don't think I had as much fun as I'd have messing around with a new hydrowave toy.

Huh, I've almost talked myself into buying one. Perhaps sometime in the spring.

From what I've heard from a friend who has fished with one, the hydrowave helps cancel out the sound from the trolling motor. Fish don't get spooked as easily.

lots do... including KVD

Which to me say's alot. He is on a roll, and it would be hard to even say anyone is on the same level as him..........

Now, he wanted it enough, that he invested in the company himself-along with other pro's.

And I'll say this, he has enough money, he doesn't need to invest in any kind of "snake oil" as some say.

I'm pretty sure he is "part owner/investor" because they allowed him to be(free), to be able to use his name as advertisement! I'm skeptical, but it could be the hottest thing ever!

I think it's funny that people get up in arms about the Alabama Rig, but dismiss something getting widespread use in the pros as a gimmick. These baitfish simulators have been around a while. Remember Biosonix?

Too many hooks = cheating but using electronic devices to stimulate feeding is A-OK? Yeah, that's a head scratcher. At least the Alabama Rig is actually a lure used by the fisherman.

As technology evolves so does the sport of fishing.

Great part about it is that you can choose not to use it.

You can also choose not to use fish finders, depth finders or GPS.

Everyone draws their own line in the sand, one that's been drawn countless times long before such debates as hand-lines vs bamboo poles.

I was watching the PAA last weekend on tv, Lake Conroe I think, and it looked Paul Elias did just that to bag a 4 day total of 103 lbs. I think he won the tourney by about 20 lbs.
