Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 5, 2012 Super User Posted January 5, 2012 Sir Snook -- that Triggerfish looks like the trumpetfish I caught in Hawaii. I typed it wrong , it is a trumpet fish. Trumpet fish for sure....trigger is one like I posted! Guess I had triggers on the mind when I saw the pic. Trigger fish make a wonderful meal, the fellow I go out with on Saturdays always uses a chicken rig to grab a few for dinner, he loves them. I believe but not sure Queen triggers are not legal to keep in Florida, I may be wrong. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 5, 2012 Super User Posted January 5, 2012 I believe but not sure Queen triggers are not legal to keep in Florida, I may be wrong. I'm pretty sure they are legal to photograph in their natural environment, LOL. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted January 5, 2012 Super User Posted January 5, 2012 That picture was actually taken while diving off the coast of Belize, near, but not in the famouse "Blue Hole" Jeff Quote
Super User S Hovanec Posted January 8, 2012 Super User Posted January 8, 2012 Juvenile Brown Trout: that's colored up like a wild fish. The fins look perfect too. Quote
Fishing4SquidDuck Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 All fish caught in Virginia, mostly on the Rappahannock River. no ones posted a chain pickerel yet so i guess i will Also some nice yellow perch 6 or 7 citation. and my only gar caught on a sabiki rig ( longnose gar) and just for fun a little surfcasting action from VA beach Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 9, 2012 Super User Posted January 9, 2012 Nice Cobe...... I like jigging for them with a bucktail tipped with squid in about 20-40' of water........wrecks are good too. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 9, 2012 Super User Posted January 9, 2012 that's colored up like a wild fish. The fins look perfect too. That was my favorite fish of that season, LOL. It was a very spunky little brown that attacked my rig twice in the "tune up" hole. These tribs have a very healthy, naturally reproducing population of browns. Almost too healthy. Quote
