Super User roadwarrior Posted November 25, 2011 Super User Posted November 25, 2011 Man that's a lot of rod! I hope you hook up with a muskie that bends it over or maybe a 25lb brown on the White River! What do you have in mind? :D Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted November 26, 2011 Super User Posted November 26, 2011 Didja hafta?! I've been looking forward to this day for a very long time. I can't wait for the new revolution. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted November 26, 2011 Super User Posted November 26, 2011 Most 8/17 rods I see are rated 3/4 oz lure and medium power, I really like that 1 oz and mh power rating. I've got a tarpon with your name on it waiting for you down here, I'd be in the Keys fishing the Back Country with that rod. Real nice !! Quote
northern basser Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 I read somewhere that shimano isn't too happy that he will be making rods again. Quote

What do you have in mind? :D I'm not interested in that rod, just in the idea that more rods will be forthcoming. I've been playing around with rod building; just practising with el cheapo components to get up to speed. I'd already decided that when I think I'm ready to build a "real" rod for myself, I'll be building it on an NFC blank. Quote

Im glad he is building again! You know it will 100% take some sells away from Shimano! Way to go G. Loomis! Ill buy a stick or two for sure! Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted November 27, 2011 Super User Posted November 27, 2011 I read somewhere that shimano isn't too happy that he will be making rods again. Perhaps because they know his high-end sticks wont have reel seat/cork failures. 1 Quote
