You're allowed 1,{only one} new rod OR new reel for Christmas. Cost is no object. What would be your choice. For the record, I would take a new Abu Garcia MGX reel.

I got lots of reels, so I guess it would have to be an NRX 893C BC rod.

I already have a NIB BPS Carbonlite reel that I would put on it...

One more Px ype R so the other four have a new buddy... Got a new Evergreen Black racer waiting on her now! more then likely i will be ordering one next week.

so it has to be under the tree and cant be bought before.... hmmmm another super stallion or another white python... I have one of each but wont fish them because scared of breaking one so either or would be great that way i would be able to fish one worry free.

I know you said one but thats a dead on tie i would be just as excited to own another one of either.

Is this a need based question, or a want based question?

If it's need based, I have convinced my self I need another Champion Extreme (or 2 :D), so another DX784 and a DX743. I guess I would also need a reel, so practically speaking that would be a T3 or an MGX.

Now - my wants. I realllllllly want an Alphas R-Edition, SPR, PX68, but my most-wanted item is a Z200. I absolutely must have one of those.

As usual I'm with Goose. An NRX 893C or 853C would work very nicely. The 854C would also do. :D

I'm a very easy person to please so I'll even settle for the spinning GSX Tournament combo for $79. If I can't my hands on the spinning Titanium combo on sale for $69. I have both that I like but my Tournament combo is the older version but it been landing me some nice bass without any problems so I would hope the newer version is as good or better.

So how easy I am to please!!

I might try and get my wife the Titanium combo for Christmas if I can find any better deal out there. She needs something for wacky.

im not as easy to please as endless, but not hard to please either. i would take a new spinning reel for my ltb 6'9" mlxf spinning rod...either a pflueger patriarch 9530, daiwa ballistic 2000, or a fuego-a 2000 that are on sale everywhere. (and perhaps a spool of 10lb 832 ghost to spool it up with!)

The most expensive reel I can find, so I can sell it, and buy more practical gear, LOL.

Great minds think alike. I think you may be interested in the Hardy Zane Ti, retailing for a modest $8,000.

If money was no object I would ask for a Ranger Zcomanche
