Super User *Hootie Posted November 25, 2011 Super User Posted November 25, 2011 You're allowed 1,{only one} new rod OR new reel for Christmas. Cost is no object. What would be your choice. For the record, I would take a new Abu Garcia MGX reel. Quote
tracker01 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 NRX spinning rod. Please, please, please. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted November 25, 2011 Super User Posted November 25, 2011 I got lots of reels, so I guess it would have to be an NRX 893C BC rod. I already have a NIB BPS Carbonlite reel that I would put on it... Quote

Super User 00 mod Posted November 25, 2011 Super User Posted November 25, 2011 NRX 854C JWR ....just because I want to setup another nice jig rod! Jeff Quote
pitchinthejig Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 One more Px ype R so the other four have a new buddy... Got a new Evergreen Black racer waiting on her now! more then likely i will be ordering one next week. so it has to be under the tree and cant be bought before.... hmmmm another super stallion or another white python... I have one of each but wont fish them because scared of breaking one so either or would be great that way i would be able to fish one worry free. I know you said one but thats a dead on tie i would be just as excited to own another one of either. Quote
Fat-G Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Is this a need based question, or a want based question? If it's need based, I have convinced my self I need another Champion Extreme (or 2 ), so another DX784 and a DX743. I guess I would also need a reel, so practically speaking that would be a T3 or an MGX. Now - my wants. I realllllllly want an Alphas R-Edition, SPR, PX68, but my most-wanted item is a Z200. I absolutely must have one of those. Quote
Super User deep Posted November 25, 2011 Super User Posted November 25, 2011 An LDC won't be too shabby.. 1 Quote

Fat-G Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 An LDC won't be too shabby.. Dude...way jealous if you get one. Post pics if you do..looking for an 8" Huddy rod. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted November 25, 2011 Super User Posted November 25, 2011 As usual I'm with Goose. An NRX 893C or 853C would work very nicely. The 854C would also do. Quote
endless Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I'm a very easy person to please so I'll even settle for the spinning GSX Tournament combo for $79. If I can't my hands on the spinning Titanium combo on sale for $69. I have both that I like but my Tournament combo is the older version but it been landing me some nice bass without any problems so I would hope the newer version is as good or better. So how easy I am to please!! http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=419935&pdesc=GSX_Tournament_6_ML_Power_Spinning_Combo&str=gsx&merchID=4005 This is actually the I got for $69 a month back. http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=435556&pdesc=GSX_Titanium_Spinning_Combo_70&aID=605A1D&merchID=4006 I might try and get my wife the Titanium combo for Christmas if I can find any better deal out there. She needs something for wacky. Quote
Canga Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 im not as easy to please as endless, but not hard to please either. i would take a new spinning reel for my ltb 6'9" mlxf spinning rod...either a pflueger patriarch 9530, daiwa ballistic 2000, or a fuego-a 2000 that are on sale everywhere. (and perhaps a spool of 10lb 832 ghost to spool it up with!) Quote
Red Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I have always wanted one of these in a lefty!! http://www.japantackle.com/Daiwa_reels/Daiwa_TDito.htm Quote

Super User J Francho Posted November 29, 2011 Super User Posted November 29, 2011 The most expensive reel I can find, so I can sell it, and buy more practical gear, LOL. Quote
trevor Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 The most expensive reel I can find, so I can sell it, and buy more practical gear, LOL. Great minds think alike. I think you may be interested in the Hardy Zane Ti, retailing for a modest $8,000. Quote
A-Rob Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 If money was no object I would ask for a Ranger Zcomanche Quote
