Super User SirSnookalot Posted November 24, 2011 Super User Posted November 24, 2011 Got a tip they were back so headed to my Jack spot. No action for about an hour, caught a little dink so I moved a few hundred yards. Was getting ready to leave and BAM......they were crashing the wall. In, out and gone in less than 10 seconds, being lucky is so important. Glad it was high tide, or would not have been able to lift this fish, this time of the year they only get bigger from here. Helluva_Engineer Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I got a few about that size off the beach today on a walk the dog lure. They were too far out for me to reach with my standard mirro-lure so I gave it a shot not expecting success. Now THAT is a crazy strike! Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted November 24, 2011 Author Super User Posted November 24, 2011 I got mine on a Mirror Lure Poppa dog, about 3/4 oz., had 1 shot and they were a mile a way........lol They fight 5 times harder off the beach than they do in the ICW, not that they are are cupcakes. Of all the different kinds of fish and any venue I can think nothing beats bigger Jacks off the beach. Pound for pound I give those beach jacks the nod over snook, stripers, bluefish, sailfish , dolphin and tarpon and anything else I ever caught. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 27, 2011 Super User Posted November 27, 2011 Fighting those Jack is like a lightweight fighting Mike Tyson. Those Jack are one hell-of-a fighter. Quote
