jchez444 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 received my lew tournament pro 6:4-1 reel from TW and from Kistler i recieved my Helium mirco guide and Helium LTX both 7ft med/hvy. Everything looks and feels great. the lew reel is so light and so far feels smooth i cant wait to use it. Kistler makes a very goodlooking rod, very light and seems to be made with good components. Can not wait to try them on the water. Quote
endless Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Good luck with the new gear and let us know how it works out for you!! Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted November 24, 2011 Super User Posted November 24, 2011 Looking forward to a full report. Seems the Kistlers haven't been getting much love lately. What rods can you compare them with? I see a lot of used ones at what appears to be good prices. I've shied away from them because of the flack some people have been giving them for their manufacturing practices. Quote

Can't wait to get my Lews, I've read nothing but rave reviews. I don't understand the beef with Kistler, people seem to like the rods, not the business practices but I don't know enough to have a say. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted November 24, 2011 Super User Posted November 24, 2011 I love my TP/ Kistler. If I had a gripe it is the grip is too fat I need to put it on a diet. Just got thinking about it & I have 3 TP reels & 3 Kistler rods so watch out they breed. Quote
North Ga Hillbilly Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I like all my Kistlers, but haven't paid near sticker price due to Kistler warranty problems I keep hearing about. But I like my LTAs better than any other rods I have dealt with. NGaHB Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Nothing like new stuff. Wait until you get to test cast that Lews. Give a feed back when you can. Quote
