Super User A-Jay Posted November 22, 2011 Super User Posted November 22, 2011 The wind finally let up so I hit the lake for what would most likely be the dreaded Last Trip. Water temps were high 30's. First stop was a "hole" with some wood in 35 fow. Hummingbird revealed that there were several fish on it. Turned out to be brown fatties. First few casts they gobbled up the swimbait but then shut off. This was the coldest water I've caught bass with a swimbait. But, it was over just as quickly as it started. I managed to stay unfrozed until dark and took home a few "Eater" sized walleyes for diner. It's been a decent season. I hope this winter isn't too long. A-Jay Quote

I haven't put up the gear just yet, so there is a chance. But the lakes here will start to freeze over very soon. The cakes were quite tasty - I went with the beer batter. A-Jay Quote
