Skeet22 Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Has to be the smoothest feeling, best casting memory free line out there. I just cant trust it though as it seems so thin and fragile. I cant speek on its true toughness as I have not used it enough but I'm wishing maybe I would have went with higher lb test. The 12# feels more like 8#. Has anyone really put it to the test as far as strength? Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted November 22, 2011 Super User Posted November 22, 2011 I really like the SuerNatural in terms of Mono. It's a great line for jerkbaits and topwater, the small diameters aid in casting distance and in working a bit. It does have more stretch than I really like, even for a mono, but overall it's very good. We scale tested some of it and the 12lb broke at just over 14. I wouldn't worry about that part of it. Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Strange. I just received a free spool of that exact line last Friday and was going to do an inquirey. It is small diameter, slick finished and seem to be low memory. My confidence line is still Yo-Zuri. I will try it fun fishing in the spring. Did it feel like Suffix Seige to you ? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 22, 2011 Super User Posted November 22, 2011 All of the B.A.S.S Professionals at class recommended monofilament for jerkbaits. Sunline Super Natural is the only mono I fish. I think I may use it for crankbaits and topwater, too. Quote

Yes just like it but only thinner per lb test. I am a sufix fan as well. I think I will leave the 12# super natural on my top water/jerkbait rod and see how it holds up. Im using cxx for spinner baits, buzz baits, and cranks currently but not sure how much longer I can deal with the memory so may go back to Big Game or try the 20# super natural. Quote
philsoreel Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Strength is not an issue. Really good mono for treble hooks. Much smaller diameters than Sufix. Much smaller than any other mono period. Pretty much on par with what you expect from high quality FC's in size to strength ratio. Quote
Fontana Finesse Man Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I have been using it for about 3 months now and as of yet, have no complaints. Memory is low, casting distance is excellent and haven't had any breakage issues. I use 15 lb test on my spinnerbait rods with up to 1/2 spinnerbaits and love it. Quote
pitchinthejig Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 i have been using it for a good while now.. its a great line that i use for mainly top water, jerk baits and sometimes spinner baits and buzz baits... ive never had any sort of issue with it other then its a little stretchy for my likings but hey its mono what can one expect. use it and you will fall in love with it if you use it for anything a high quality mono would be in good use for.
