I only know about Florida I think we have 2 varieties, spotted and blue, they don't really look the same. Crappie jigs are good bait for blues, peacocks and mayans love those little jigs too. I never caught a spotted.

Oldham Lures and JoBaby Lures both have Tilapia colors that I like and photos attached. On both of these jigs, I like the "NEW" Rage Tail Blue Craw or Hard Candy color as trailers. On the JoBaby jig, I also like the Big Tex color. I'm not by myself on the color choices... Both company owners choose these as their favorites as well.

They both make heavier than 1oz jigs for fishing deeper waters... but their Tilapia colors come in all sizes!

Hope that helps

Dark purple and dark green combinations with vertical black stripes and junebug trailers are popular tilopia jig colors.

Here are the new Blue Craw and Hard Candy colors for the Rage Craws that have been popular for trailing the Tilapia colored jigs...

Big O hit it! I have some 'tilapia' stick baits and they are identical in color to big O's craw color. Smallies love that color (kind of resembles a stone cat).

Wow! I am really digging those Rage Craw colors. Thanks for posting that "Big O", as there's a lot of tilapia down here, and they have to be part of a bass' diet on such lakes. Very nice...
