MN Bassin' nOOb Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 If you had to pick ones of these cars which would it be toyota camry, mercedes e350, acura ts, ford escape, buick rendezvous and jeep grand cherokee. Just listing out a bunch of reels is pointless. What application are you looking to use them for? Depending on your answer will determine what reel you should buy. Just off of your list, the Chronarch is the top reel, but also over $50 more than any other one listed. 1 Quote
jchez444 Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 Actually they are all 200 bucks expecxt for the lews n curado which are cheaper.its an all purpose reel I'm looking forusing baits from 1/4oz to 3/8oz.if u have a different reel for every application then more power to you but I find that highly unlikey amd pointless so please don't bother saying I need 3 of them to fish these patterns.a 1 Quote
ChiCityBasser Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Smoke 100 for me but that is a personal preference. Quote
LuckyHandsINC. Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Lews for me. Have a team lews that I like a lot and will most likely be getting the low speed TP for crankbaits. Quote

psuangler91 Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I'd go with the smoke, I love Quantum. They cast smoothly, the drag is great, and they're easy to use. You don't have to take the sideplate off to change your braking and it feels great in your hand. Quote
tholmes Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Honestly, any of those reels would do what you need. They are all high-quality products, backed by a solid manufacturer's warranty and (with proper maintenance) should give you years of service. BUT, what works for me (or anyone else on the forum) might not be the best for you. The best way to decide is to go to a store and handle the reels yourself. Mount them on your rod and see how each one balances, how they feel in your hand, etc., and decide which one feels the best to YOU. Tom Quote
bigfishbk86 Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I'd go with the lews, but of all those, you can't really go wrong. Quote
BigMoneyGrip Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 What about the Pinnacle Optimus XLT? That is a great reel from what I've read. I'm saving my clams for one. Hopefully I'll have one by the spring. It's tough when all of my money goes towards the mortgage. Quote
North Ga Hillbilly Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Curado 50Es will be 100 at Academy on black friday Quote

I would take the rod that I intended to use with the reel. Then mount each reel on the rod to see what the system would feel like with each reel and make my final choice. Good Luck & Tight Lines!
