If you have launced from Port Royal before you know to watch the water level when entering the river or heading back to the ramp.

Don't forget to throw your plastics, too. ;)

I've caught A bass across the river from the launch just down stream of the bridge on a chatterbait. Hooked into something pretty big on the same side under the bridge but it broke me off(that was back when I was using 4lb mono!?). Other than that I have caught nothin but Catfish. Good luck

Check the tides and follow them.

Going up river is also a good option.

Fish all wood you can find plus the mouths of creeks.

Look for the baitfish and birds feeding on the baitfish.

Just watch the water level if you are fishing on a falling tide so you will not get stuck in a creek or stir up the mud heading back to the dock. :)

So shallow everywhere was not a great time and there was a body search going on to by the police so the other boats and helicopters were a little wierd for me.
