basslover12345 Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 How many bass did you catch this year? Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted November 6, 2011 Super User Posted November 6, 2011 The year isn't over yet. I'm shootin' for 500 but may not get them. Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 6, 2011 Super User Posted November 6, 2011 Counting takes the fun out of it. Just go out and have a good time and don't worry about how many you catch or miss. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted November 6, 2011 Super User Posted November 6, 2011 Under 100. I only fish for bass from late April-October. I did better this year from shore than I did the previous years. I know I could have had way more if I had something to get on the water. So my Goal now is to figure out how I can get on the water next season. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted November 6, 2011 Super User Posted November 6, 2011 I don't count anymore , just fish and enjoy myself. Quote
Brian Needham Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 over 100, but I only started bass fishing in July . Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted November 6, 2011 Super User Posted November 6, 2011 1041 as of about 35 minutes ago. Quote
Red Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Am am just shy of 400, but the year ain't over yet!! Quote
JigMe Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Wow... Over 1k, I need to get a bass boat lol. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted November 6, 2011 Super User Posted November 6, 2011 2,353 so far this year. Yes, I keep count, been doing it for over 35 years. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted November 6, 2011 Super User Posted November 6, 2011 Wow... Over 1k, I need to get a bass boat lol. A boat certainly helps - but not totally necessary if you have access to enough water for bank fishing. My 1041 bass number is 847 from the bank, only 194 from a boat. Just didn't get the canoe in the water much this year compared to last year. My 9.06 LMB PB was caught from the bank... Quote
Hamby Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I don't count, but i didn't do as well this year as last. At least not in the fish/hour category. Dunno about total. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted November 6, 2011 Super User Posted November 6, 2011 Couple here. Couple there. Quote
Buckeye Bassin Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I'm gonna keep better track next season. I might get a couple more weekends in yet, but I'm around 60-70. Hoping for triple digits next year for sure. Quote
ChiCityBasser Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Right now I'm over 200 fishing from the shore and before the freeze I'm hoping to get closer to 250. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted November 7, 2011 Super User Posted November 7, 2011 I am at 139 right now. Hoping to break 150 over the weekend since it will be the last time I can go out this year. Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I didn't catch as many as I would have liked, but then I didn't get to fish as much either. I did improve my overall average size dramatically though. I had my best year with fish over four pounds for sure. I had some excellent trips and some tough ones. The conditions this spring were terrible. I did mange to imrove my PB smallmouth to a 5-5 but missed my goal of a six or better. Overall, I had a good year and now it's time for late silvers and winter steelhead. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 8, 2011 Super User Posted November 8, 2011 Don't know for sure, but my best day last year was on the BassResource Roadtrip at Pickwick. 78 bass and some trash fish including a MONSTER catfish on a Swarming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad. That might have been my best single day in terms of numbers, but this year has been much better overall. My best week was a few year ago. The two in my avatar were caught on a Saturday in January followed a week later with fifteen smallmouth, eight over 5 lbs. These are pics from that outing: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/smallmouth_record.html Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 8, 2011 Global Moderator Posted November 8, 2011 Too many to count I had a couple days north of 100 fish and a few days that were close. There were lots of tough days mixed in there too but it's been a good year with low water and concentrated fish. Quote
Super User Ratherbfishing Posted November 9, 2011 Super User Posted November 9, 2011 I lost count. Did well overall except in my local pond/lake. There, things have been rough-not nearly as many bigger bass and fewer bass, on average, than previous years. Even the bluegill population was waaay down. Most lakes have good and bad years. I hope it's just part of the natural cycle. Quote
