I'm in the process of getting my pistol permit after putting it off fir a while and iv been eyeballing this pistol for some time now anyone shot or own one. It seems like a B A little gun and all the reviews are great other then the fat frame and little hands don't mix.

Yeah it won't be a plinker I gotta look into seeing if there are dies available and I'll reload if i can but ammo isn't to terrible compared to other guns in my arsenal that get pricey to make em go bang

I've fired the FiveSeven. My friend has two and brings them to the club quite a bit. I've even bought ammo to shoot in his guns.

I haven't found the ammo to be that expensive. Certainly no more so that 50 rounds of decent quality .45 ammo. It's harder to find than it is expensive.

The FiveSeven is a bizarre gun. It feels big. The controls are a bit hard for me to manipulate. And despite its expense, it feels very plasticy. Even the controls are plastic. Frankly, I think it feels rather "cheap."

The gun is fun to shoot. It doesn't recoil that much, but for some reason it has a helluva muzzle blast. It's loud and you can definitely feel it go off when you are next to it.

I like the gun, but only enough that I would buy ammo for someone elese's gun to shoot. The FiveSeven isn't even on my radar as a future purchase. It's a novelty IMHO.

I don't see it as a real good concealed carry gun. It's big, fat, and his high sights. If this is your first handgun, or you want something to carry concealed, I'd recommend something else. If you want an interesting piece to show friends, or just want one for no particular reason, by all means, buy one.

Even though the gun has some notoriety as the Ft. Hood gun, I'm not convinced it would be the best choice as a self defense gun.

It wouldn't be my first gun kinda just a gun I want like a HK USP my first will be a TC contender in S&W 460 something I will actually get use out of. My father inlaw has one in 357 max and I love his.

Does anyone even produce the ammo besides FN? On CTD all the ammo in 5.7 they offer is made by FN. I'd go for something else, preferably something that uses ammo you can buy anywhere and isn't ugly as sin

AFAIK, only FN loads it. Runs about $25-26 bucks a box for 50 rounds.

If you want a plastic, high capacity, .22 caliber handgun, that's about 1/3 the price of the FiveSeven, the KelTech PMR30 looks like a fun gun.

The keltec looks funky that grip looks so thin and long. Not saying the five seven is a beauty queen but looks better then the keltec. I'd like to see a .17 Mach II in a repeater but the ammo is scarce and they don't recomend the HMR and mach II be fired in semi weapons.

Yeah but that's only if you can find the stuff. I think you will probably be limited to buying it online unless you have a good gun store around you. I've had a couple guys come in to my work and ask for it and I just laugh at them until I realize they were actually expecting us to have it.

I"ve got one and it's fun to shoot but definitely wouldn't be my first choice for a carry gun. I would go with something like a Kahr CM9 to carry.

Micro, thats expensive, I'd shop somewhere else for it. Cabelas has some on sale for 16.99 right now.

I've shot alot of rounds through the 5.7. It is one of my favorite handgun calibers. As for the price of the ammo, no different then a good ammo for any other gun.
