Today I was able to watch OU stomp A&M, and THEN I was able to watch both OSU and LSU win their games in what can only be called nail-biters. If I didn't have a heart attack today, I figure I'm good to go for a few years.

BTW we just had an earthquake; in Tulsa of all places! Definitely got my attention, but no damage. According to the USGS it was a 5.6, centered about fifty miles West of us.

Great games on tonight. Heck of a battle between LSU and Bama, but I'd rather watch a shoot out like OSU and KSU. I know both those guys (SEC) have great defenses, but I'm pretty sure OU, OSU, and Stanford could at least put up a touchdown against them. I cannot recall the last good weather college football game I've seen where no one scored a TD. Yikes.

Long Mike, we saw good old fashing 1960s smash-mouth football between LSU & Alabama.

Those guys were hitting hard.

Defenses win championships and both teams have outstanding defenses.

You can tell both coaches were taught by the old timers that you have to have a good defense and that you have to run the ball.

Hope LSU can make it back to NOLA for the BCS championship. Opponent could be Okie State or Boise State if they remain undefeated.

Of course I would have rather had a high scoring game with a last minute score winning the game, but it was not to be.

As Bear Bryant said, "When you throw the ball three things can happen, and two of them are bad."

Geaux Tigers!!!! :)

Sam I hear ya. Danm, as I am typing this we just had another earthquake. That's three in three days. No harm done, but I'm beginning to think I live in California instead of Oklahoma. Anywho, back to football.

OSU has an easy schedule until they meet OU in what is called Bedlam. It's a coin toss on this one, but my vote will have to go to OSU because OU lost not only one of their star running backs, Dominique Whaley, but also one of the best receivers there has ever been - Ryan Broyles.

As for LSU, they also have an easy schedule until they run into the Hawgs. For some obscure reason the Hawgs always seem to have LSU's playbook in their back pocket. Another coin toss, but I'm going with LSU's defense.

Which, hopefully, brings us to the Championship. LSU vs OSU. Who will I cheer for? I honestly don't know. I grew up in South Louisiana but went to Northwestern instead of LSU. I've lived in Oklahoma for twenty-five years; almost as long as I lived in Louisiana. I have strong affinities for both. I think LSU will take the title, but either way, it's been a hell-of-a-season..
