After soaking up some great advice this past week from BR members and doing a little research myself, I went out this AM and nabbed another big slob! :D Thanks to all! I got her on a 3/8 oz Football Jig w/a Rage trailer. Before I started I fanned out the guard and trimmed the skirt and the guard, hoping for an easier better hookset. Well, I didn't have to slam her very hard, little tap, reel and swing...gotcha! Perfect hookset too, top of mouth just left of center. Air temp was 32 and water temp was 48. Clear, calm and cold. Only fish in a little over 2 hours, but worth it! Absolutely beautiful, too. Check out her markings. Thanks again to all, I'm learning. :D
