Pete-K Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Ex-GirlFriend. But then again she was easy..... No the sad part is I snagged a dead lady with the prop of my motor back around 1980. She had ran into the flood waters close to our house. Was Putting the boat in, Started the motor up. When the prop got a shirt wrapped around the prop. Got that off wondering why a shirt was in this spot, Then when taking off with the boat almost hit her car, The water was just over the top. When the waves lapped over it you could see the red Car.. Now the bad part is I did not know there was a body with the shirt. So when I got back to the house I called this in. Everyone showed up to get the car out, They searched for the lady 5 days. Then found her right where I had snagged the shirt in the prop. When they got her out of the water, most of one shirt was gone. Man that was close... Never wish this one anyone. Quote

redboat Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 I snagged my thumb. Normally that would not be a big deal; I've had hooks in my fingers before, but this was the first time I'd done it with the fish also on the hook flipping around, and at night to boot. Plus my fishing buddy was laughing so hard he was no help. Quote
Wildbillb Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 I river fish a lot. I have snagged all sorts of fun stuff.....pillow (like the one you sleep on), skateboard, bmx bike and a lawn chair just to name a few. Quote
wakeeater Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 i went to set the hook in the dark when i was fishing a shakey head in four foot of water. well, there was no fish & it was too dark to dodge the hook....so it snagged me on the bridge of the nose, right between the eyes. Quote

pussiwillow Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 i used to fish a pier near my house every weekend, i snagged a brand new cotton cordel lure, with 10 feet of line on it, my hook caught the line tie split ring, one in a million i thought, later that day i called my dad and told him i snagged a lure that was new he told me he lost his new black and chrome cotton cordel 2 days ago at that pier, i am still wondering what were the odds... Super User bigbill Posted March 17, 2012 Super User Posted March 17, 2012 A snapping turtle the size of a jeep 15'' rim and 235 tire. It was tooth and claw all the way in and he fought better than any LMB i ever caught. I didn't get my hook back so i cut the line. We have anothersnapper thats about 4' in diameter (shell) it has a head the size of a human head. I hooked up with it once and when the head came up my son said it was a log in the water. I said its the head of a turtle, a very large turtle. Turtles i can deal with its the very aggressive water snakes is what i hate. Quote
