Didn't get on the water till noon. Water and air temps in the mid 40's with a stiff breeze, not what I was hoping for. A jig & pig was not working, went to a swimbait and never put it down. Fished any and all the deeper green weeds I could find. The windward side proved to be the ticket. A slow constant retrieve over the weeds produced a very decent bag including a real fatty. She's my best lmb this season (so far). I guess you could say I've been pacing myself.

Nice A-Jay! What bait is that hanging out of it's mouth?

RW & CWB ~

I've been throwing the Berkley Powerbait Hollow Belly.

The first photo is a 6" purple tiger, the second is a 5" trout color. That lake has a very healthy population of Rainbows so I was trying to match the hatch.

I've not tried the Shadalicious.

I Like the Berkley bait but the price is a bit much. I found a deal on line last winter and stacked up.
