Super User Dwight Hottle Posted November 1, 2011 Super User Posted November 1, 2011 I thought we were bass fishing. Darn lakers moved in shallow from deep water haunts & might have moved the bass deeper. These guys were a gas on light bass tackle. Added another pic from yesterday. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted November 1, 2011 Super User Posted November 1, 2011 That makes me want to go up next weekend Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Wow, Congrats those are some dandies! I thought it would be Pike/Musky from the topic but obviously not. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 1, 2011 Super User Posted November 1, 2011 Gotta love it! I was harassed by some Cohos last week while bass fishing. Quote

How long into the first Laker did the fight go before you realized you did not have a record bass on ? And did you say the classic line right after the strike ... "If this is a bass, it's a good one" I love that one. A-Jay Quote

I didn't think it was a smallie as much as a trophy steelhead that didn't want to jump. First time I have caught a lake erie laker so I wasn't expecting them. They are gas. Quote
Super User CWB Posted November 6, 2011 Super User Posted November 6, 2011 That last one is a hawg! How big was it? On the HJ12? What depth? Any Smallies? I think you need your photographer back there. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted November 6, 2011 Super User Posted November 6, 2011 WOW ! That latest Laker looks like a U-Boat ! A-Jay Quote
GLADES Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Never fished the great lakes. You guys have lots of variety. Beautiful fish! Quote
