NJBasstard Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 So the ceramic insert or whatever it's called on my top guide broke. I went to Dicks and purchased the Fuji guide repair kit, but when I got home I realized the ones in the kit seamed much larger. I went to a local tackle shop to see if they had anything smaller but no luck. I was wondering where to purchase the right guide tip and what size I'm going to need. Rod is an all purpose kistler mag ts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote

Super User ww2farmer Posted October 28, 2011 Super User Posted October 28, 2011 Email Trey at Kistler and he should be able to set you up. I would advise against letting Kistler get ahold of your e-mail address. 1 Quote

Super User ww2farmer Posted October 28, 2011 Super User Posted October 28, 2011 IDK........but the 10,000 e-mails I got from them a week got annoying. They are the Bass Pro Shops catalogs of e-mails. Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted October 28, 2011 Super User Posted October 28, 2011 I wouldn't worry about emails, if bothersome there should be a link to stop emails. I'd go the Kistler route, your chances are excellent to get the correct replacement. If not you can always get a slighty larger tip to fit, a thin layer of toilet tissue or gauze wrapped around the tip of the round, then slip the tip over should work.......don't forget the glue Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 28, 2011 Super User Posted October 28, 2011 Read my link, Kistler himself told the OP directly to email them, and they'd provide the tip top free of charge. Quote

I've never known a fisherman who complained about getting a Bass Pro Shops catalog. They are quite possibly the best toilet reading material ever. I'm on their mailing list, I get several emails a month, sometimes less frequent. Not bad at all. I'm on their mailing list too. I get one or two emails a week, and they're almost always discount codes for rods. I've gotten some excellent deals on Kistler rods by reading those emails. Keep them coming, Trey! Quote
