Owasco Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Any of you ever use the New Sebile D&S Crank baits? I'm curious how well they work. The idea sounds ingenious to me. The fact that I will be able to throw the bait into timber with a lot less worry of getting hung up is exciting to me. Of you guys that have tried them, Do they float to the surface when standing still, do they sink or suspend? How has your luck been? I'm looking forward to picking up a few. Bottom line, are they worth $15 a crank? Thanks. Quote
MN Bassin' nOOb Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I don't believe they'll be out until early winter at the earliest. All of the reviews I've seen were from people taking pics at iCAST, no real world fishing reviews. If you order now from TW, I think earliest ship dates are late November. Quote
Owasco Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Thanks for the reply. Well I'm going to have to order a few and I'll post my review next spring. Sounds like by the time I can get them I'll probably have thin ice on most waters in my neck of the woods. I really like the idea of having a crank with a swiveling EWG hook trailing behind it. I don't know why this hasn't been thought of eariler. Thanks again. Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 THey work! I havent used the Sebile crank, but I have been doing this same thing for years. First, take off both trebles. Then attach a second o-ring to the back of the crankbait. Finally put on a 3/0 EWG with a grub t-rig style on it and you have a weedless crank that works great in deep grass. Quote

They have plenty of real world reviews out there, including a couple here on the site. They're not the end all, but they're a decent bait. Quote

You have the ability to order them through TW and other sites, but they won't ship for at least a month or two. Check the shipping dates. Quote

Odd, they showed on-hands just weeks ago, say a month after ICAST. I also know people that have gotten FULL orders filled. I know that Jason Sealock said they would be available mid-September. I got the three I ordered prior to a Wilson Tournament, and that was the second of October. Regardless, they're out and available now as I've seen them in stores as well. Quote
