I simply cannot believe that the Colts have completely fallen apart after the loss of Manning. I'm a Saints fan, and yes they are a very good team, but jeez you would think that the Saints were playing a third-rate college team. The game is far from over, but at this point I feel truly sorry for the Colts. In one season, from the mountain top to the dumpster.

The NFL should go back and retroactivly award Manning with the MVP award for the past 10 seasons. He is, no doubt, the biggest difference maker in the league.

Who's Tom Brady?

The QB is not on defense.

The Colts simply quit, plain and simple.

The players are embarrassing themselves week after week.

Miami is also winless but at least they are trying to remain competitive.

The Colts fans deserve better but by now should be wearing brown paper bags.

Don't know his contract status but I would not be surprised to see Manning ask for a trade rather than to get back on the field with this "team".

btw - didn't New England go like 11-5 the season Tom Brady was out ?

Brady? He's that really good quarterback whose team continued to win when he was injured. No doubt he's great, but he's playing for a great team. This season is showing us where the Colts greatness lies: In Manning.

To be fair, the Bolts started going downhill last year - while Manning was still at the helm. I don't know all the ins-and-outs of that organization, but if they haven't been feeding the machine with a steady flow of young, talented players, then they're destined to fall.

Having seen the Bolts dominate for so long, it's kinda refreshing to see them on the receiving end of things for once. ;)

Glenn, I agree with your "downhill" assessment. But, this team didn't go downhill when Manning got hurt. They fell off a cliff. I'm no fan of the Colts, but Manning's absence has shined the light on just how great of a football player he is. I hope he comes back and we get to see him play for a few more seasons.

By the way, I enjoy watching all great players (as long as they don't play for the Redskins). Go Cowboys!

I will admit the Colts were my team growing up but after sneaking out of town to Indy I have lost all interest in them.

It is nice to see a team worse than the Washington Deadskins.

And of course I am a Saints fan. Went to the first Saints home game in the old Sugar Bowl on Toolame's campus and also was there when Dempsey kicked the 200 yard field goal to beat Detroit 19-17. :)

Manning obviously doesn't play defense, but he can help the defense by dictating the pace of the game and doing the ever so important putting points on the board. When the opponent knows that the Colts offense is one of the worst in the league with an inexperienced margianlly talented QB, it's pretty easy for them to just put the pedal to the metal and bury them.

Bright side for the Colts fans is that they're doing the "Suck for Luck" sweepstakes and will get another dominate 10-12 year QB to take over for Manning in a couple more years. In the mean time, they can start getting a little younger.
