I believe they did the knot test using only one brand/test# of line. I'd have to see results from considerably more brands and diameters of line before I accepted the results.

They actually used 14 different brand fluoro's during theses tests. ;)

double san diego jam or Three tag knot are the knots I use with my Sunline FC's 12 and under pound test I use the double san diego jam and over 12 is the T/T/K.. On Megabass FC's (Dragon call mainly) ties best with a palomar knot I have had knots fail on Sunline FC's with a well tied Palomar knot never with the other two, Im VERY OCD with knot tying and ALWAYS take the time to tie perfect knots.. On the Megabass FC's palomar knots are king and are the strongest but once again arent the best knot with Sunline FC's (These are the only two brands on FC's I use so cant speak for others) I believe the reason that the Palomar knot is great with Megabass lines is because M/B FC's are much softer then the stiffer/harder Sunline top end FC's and the harder/stiffer lines will cut its self with a Palomar knot and the Softer and more supple Megabass FC's dont/wont cut its self.

Main thing with any knot tied with FC is that you lube it well and KEEP THE KNOT LOOSE IN TILL ITS AT THE HOOK EYE THEN TIGHTEN IT ALL UP SLOWLY!!!!!

I've never tried SL Snipper FC, but heard decent reports so I just ordered a spool. The Dragon Call was appealing, but @ $33 per spool/88 yards I shied away. May I ask why you've chosen to use both the SL FC and the DC? I've been using Toray Super Hard Upgrade this season, good stuff, but a little to stiff, and to much memory for my liking. How's the abrasion properties of the DC?

DC is super soft, limp and silky smooth like sniper is but even sniper becomes a little stiff and coil-y in higher # tests as where DC stays softer then most of even the softest and smoothest of monos. its got about the same stretch as sniper and imho slightly better abrasion resistance then sniper.. you can not beat DC as a square bill line in heavy timber, spinner baits in and around cover and lipless baits banging them around in cover it shucks abrasion more then good enough for doing any of that, its sensitivity is plenty for any moving bait.

its not a line i use for bottom contact baits because shooter is SO much better at that job. with moving baits DC lets me use a stiffer more powerful stick to fish that lure (i prefer the stiffest rod i can use before i start pulling trebles out) that i can so i can rip it out of grass or clear the hooks easier then with a softer rod but this line has enough stretch to keep hooks in them tight but no to much that its hard to stick them on a long cast or that i cant pop the lure out of cover real good. It costs big time lol but for what i just said I do not believe there is a better FC out there and man thats THIN for its pound test.. its thinner then shooter, sniper and any of the Toray stuff in the same pound test,
