So now I am officially enrolled and schooling at LA Tech University in Ruston, LA. All my classes are going pretty good except for math :-( but I'm certain I can turn things around. I'm finally getting used to the life of fending for myself. I kind of like it actually. My First college qualifying tournament will be on a local lake this Sunday. I'm super pumped. The lake is about 7 feet low so its gonna be tedious running. A local from that owns a bait shop here in town gave me some super information and I'm stoked to get out on Saturday and try it out. I will try to put up the results on this thread and maybe also some nice pictures if I catch em pretty good. Here is a pic of a fish I caught Wednesday evening out there while prefishing. My partner and I only ended up boating two but with the conditions the conditions the way were (40 mph winds due to the major front pushing through) I was super happy about it. 319920_10150362405199791_529179790_7985425_1438115094_n.jpg

Good luck. I hope you do well @Tech and with fishing. You have some pretty good fishing on the outskirts of town. I attended Tech for a couple of years before moving to Florida. I'am sure Ruston has changed alot in the last 25 years...loved the small town feel. I found that I could not keep myself away from those local farm ponds. Thats where I became addicted to bass fishing. Iam from Bossier, how about you?

I'm from central Louisiana around the Alexandria area. A little town called Deville, LA. Our local fishery is the Saline/Larto Complex. Maybe you've heard of it?
