Ricardo Glz Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 hi there.. who can help me to find the designs used by professionals in their boats. I especially like the Rapala, but I cant find photos of their designs. thank you very much for your time. regards Quote
Hamby Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I don't know if you can get the rapala design. I believe they are called wraps. There is probably somebody in your area who does them. Maybe some tournament guys can help you out. Quote
Sfritr Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I believe what you are referring to is the boats wrap. Just as you see in cars for advertising the boats are wrapped so show sponsors. Most of these wraps under normal conditions will last about a year or two. The pros, I would assume, need to have them redone more frequently. As far as getting the sponsor wraps on your boat you may want to keep what you have. There are copywright laws that prohibit you from just wrapping your boat with the "Under Armor" Logo. A few years ago my company looked at sponsoring a Nascar team. However, nobody wants to be associated with losing and all the top teams were taken. That was the same reason we never sponsored softball, soccer, etc. Quote
Ricardo Glz Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 jajaja sorry they are called wraps, was a translation mistake... what I'm looking, is the pics of the boats with the wraps, especially rapala boats, and take an idea to put a wrap on my boat too ... do you guys know any interntet page where i can see the boats ?? I hope you understand my idea, but I'm not very good translated into English, as you can see. je je je thank you Quote
Super User Catt Posted October 21, 2011 Super User Posted October 21, 2011 The absolute first thing you will have to do is get Rapala’s permission to use their Logo on your boat. My link Quote
NBR Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I can't recall the number but I am sure that wraps are pretty pricey. Quote
Sfritr Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Actually, most wraps are around 2-4k. Much less than a complete paint and clear coat job. Quote
pitchinthejig Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I paid 3400 bucks for a wrap on my Z-9 and love it, they also protect the Gel coat pretty well and really well from the Sun, Sun fades boats pretty quick as you all know and I spend about 250 days a year on the water that was my main reason for wrapping and it looks cool lol... but anyhow thats what you are gonna pay for a pretty detailed wrap if you go with a easier wrap you are looking at mid to high 2's. I had a Place in Orlando do my boat if you want the companies name PM me and I will give you contact details. Quote
