DRhodes Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 So, this weekend I went to the county flea market, and found an older man set up with Rapalas priced for $4.00 a piece. I talked with him for a few and he said if I bought 10 he will sell them for $3.50 a piece. I dont have many rapalas because they are so expensive. I picked up a clakin rap, x-raps, original floaters, suspending, skitter pops and skitter walks. Now I'm kicking myself in the *** for not buying more. He said he will be back the first week of September. Do you guys think I should buy the whole lot (he has about 100) I think if I did he would sell them for 2.75 - 3.00 per lure. I have never seen such low prices on rapalas, the boxs are a little scratched on the outside but the lures are great. Has anyone else had any luck with finding lures this cheap? Quote

I 've purchased Risto Raps, Rattlin Raps, some Shad Raps, Fat Raps, Glass Shad Raps, Original Floaters, Husky Jerks and Taildancers at $1.99 ea. Remember those boxes I showed packed with Rapala 's ? guess how I filled them. Quote
DRhodes Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 I really thought I got a great deal, but $2.00 per lure! Thats a hell of a deal, makes my 3.50 per I was so proud of look like an awful deal. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted July 13, 2009 Super User Posted July 13, 2009 If you hit Walmart at the right time early spring, you can find them for $3.00-$3.50 here.Seems to be a once a year deal here.Plus you got to beat the next guy there otherwise everything is pretty much sold out. Dick's sporting goods is known to do that as well.I raided Dick's shelves this year as somebody beat me to walmart's shelves.I loaded up on the DT series... ;D Quote

NewAngler Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 This thread makes me kick my self in the ***. Just picked up 4 for like $30 just last week. And don't have the balls to throw them!! Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Wish my Wal-Mart had sales on them once in a while! The only ones that go on sale are the FUGLY ones that no one has ever even heard of and don't even look like real Rapalas!!!!!!!!!!! > Quote

Bryan75 Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 The Target here was selling them for $4. They had a few DT's and a couple Glass Raps. Then again, I went to Cabela's in WV last weekend and they were selling all the Rapala's for $9-$11. That's the last time I drive a state away to check out a store....... ;D Quote
Shimmer Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 My local Wally World had an entire box of Bomber and Rapalas (50-60) for $1.97 a piece. Some were junk, but I took about 35-40 Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted July 30, 2009 Super User Posted July 30, 2009 Walked in to Sports Authority and they had some Xraps #10 in the bargain bin for $4.90, had a sign advertising buy 2 get the 3 rd free so I cleaned them out 12 xraps for about $40., I was happy. Quote

Super User Muddy Posted July 30, 2009 Super User Posted July 30, 2009 Rapala baits are expensive? :-? A 2.00 rapala is cheaper than an 8 dollar one, I think the point is fairly obvious here. Quote
