I'd like to hear from users of these five rods on sensitivity. Specifically for jigs and Texas rigged (casted) plastics.

St. Croix Avid AVC70MHF, Falcon Cara CC-5-17MH (or 6-17H), Falcon Lowrider LFC-5-17MH (or 6-17H), Falcon Bucoo BCC 5-17 (or BCC 6-17), both standard and micro guide models, and Kistler Mag MGSWSB70. All rods are 7". The only split grips are the Bucoos and the Kistler Mag. I'd really like to know before I make my next rod purchase. Thanks guys in advance, I know it's a lot to ask but I feel confident there are users of all these out there in Bass Resource land.

I have an the 7' MH/F Avid, Falcon Cara, and Falcon Lowrider. The Cara is the most sensitive of the bunch and it balances the best. The Avid is a close second in sensitivity, but it is tip heavy. The rest are way behind.

I have several Kistlers, and find them to be extremely sensitive, but the Magnesiums arnt up to par. Avids are real nice, and sensitive. But for the price of an Avid you could get a Helium LTA, more sensitive in my hand atleast.

i have owned a cara, and currently own a Bucoo and a Mag. mags make a good texas rig set up but you can definitely find a more sensitive rod. they are extremely strong though. Bucoos and caras are made with the same blank i think. My bucoo (7' MH/ moderate action) does not make a good plastics rod, its like settin the hook with a rubber band. if you get a Bucoo MH fast, you should be ok. Caras are ideal if you prefer cork over eva grips, and spending the extra $70. Personally i don't think it's worth the price difference considering how similar they are in sensitivity. Hell i've heard nothing but good things about the st croixs and lowriders too

I own several Kistler rods and to me they are all super sensitive. I'm with North GA Hillbilly, if you want a very sensitive rod I would go with the Helium LTA.....to me, they just don't get more sensitive than these rods. I've owned the Falcon Cara and the Magnesium beats it in sensitivity. I've never owned any of the other mentioned rods.

i'm going with the cara and like another uses said the avid feels tip heavy. I have the cara amistad and i absolutely love it but don't count the bucoos out, they're fine rods and i think they perform well above what their price dictates. maybe it's just me but i "think" all of my micro rods are a little more sensitive, especially on soft bites. if I don't feel the bite, i can sometimes hear the line slap the guides. take that as you wish.

You can always tape a quarter to the back of the avid, balancing a tip heavy rod insnt too difficult

Of the rods you have listed I own the Avid AVC70MHF, the CC-5-1610MH, CCM-5-1610MH, and CCM-6-1610 Headturner. As previously mentioned the Avid does seem to be a little tip heavy and I believe a little less sensitive than the Cara's, of the Cara's I prefer the CCM-6-1610 Micro Headturner. In my opinion the micro guides help with reduction of weight and sensitivity, Falcon builds a great rod and I don't think you would be disapointed with anything in the Cara lineup.

bud, it's gonna take more than a quarter. I have 3 ozs of bullet weights stuffed in the but end of my carrot stick 7'9" x/heavy and i feel like it could use one more.
