Looking for a few tips. Going crazy haven't landed a lm in over a month. Any tips for northern basser? Becoming confused with all the different colors and selections of lures. This is my first year as a serious bass angler. Thanks

I grew up fishing Lake St Clair, it may not be your lure color but where you are fishing. A shore or boat fisherman? I haven't been there in quite a few years but always had excellent success in and around Harsens island, but if I were to pick a place it would be Walpole Island on the Canadian side. We used to fish the St Mary's river near Algonac, good sturgeon waters, walleye too.

In the opposite direction lake Erie is an excellent fishery, again my choice was always the Canadian side, Rondeau bay, smallmouths.

Right now from shore,it is hard to catch anything.

Anything watermelon color will pretty much work as far as soft plastic goes.A buddy of mine said that crankbaits were working out there about 2 weeks ago. They are chasing shad around.

For me when I fish St Clair here is what I use

3/8 Chart/white spinnerbait

Pointer 78 american shad

4"-4.5" Green pumpkin variant tube (this is a go too)

3/8 finesse jig in green or brown color

Those are my top 4 baits.

Unfortunately I'm stuck on shore

You can take a ferry to harsens island, canals and flats that can be fished from shore.
