CFFF 1.5 Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Looks mainly like a topwater frog to me. I would use it but not because it looks kind of like a bird. Quote
Bass XL Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 I do like the compact profile of the lure as a whole. Quote
swmofisher Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Nope and i'd like to think I know a thing or two about topwater baits, lol. Ever heard of a Upshot made by luck e. strike? It should interest you. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted October 11, 2011 Super User Posted October 11, 2011 I'd try anything just to add a little variety to my day, but I don't think it's a magic bullet. This is just me, I see line twist and that's one thing I don't like. I always use a leader and swivel, quite often a BB and I don't get any twist for any of my freshwater fishing. Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted October 12, 2011 Super User Posted October 12, 2011 I think it's a pretty sweet looking bait! The whole idea of it being a bird and a bass being attracted to that attribute seems kinda gimmicky though lol. They'd hit it just cuz it's struggling on the surface. I also like how every single new "frog" bait on the market claims that it will not sink or take in water! Thats the nature of the beast and I have yet to see one that doesn't. Quote
