BANDITBASSER Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Is there any place to stay that is directly on Toho that is decent.I'll be going up the end of this month for a few day Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted October 10, 2011 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted October 10, 2011 I think Richardsons fish camp on the east side has cabins but I have never stayed there. 1550 Scottys Road Kissimmee, FL 34744-6652 (407) 846-6540 Camp Mack has nice stuff but they are on the river canal between hatch and Kissimmee. It is a 45 min bass boat ride from camp mack to the north end of Toho. The rates are kind of high but it's the nicest place on the chain. campmack.com Grape Hammock on the south end of Kissimmee is the most reasonable. It's a 20 min ride from Grape to the north end of Kissimmee on a calm day. grapehammock.com There are several other places to stay on the chain but they are mostly RV oriented. Quote

BANDITBASSER Posted October 11, 2011 Author Posted October 11, 2011 Thanks for the info I've stayed at both of those places on Kissmmee and Camp Mack is a nice place to stay. I think I've found a hotel close to the boat ramp on the north end. I haven't been on Toho in years what's it like Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted October 11, 2011 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted October 11, 2011 As difficult as always. Look up fishingcowgirl and ask her. They are on it all the time. Quote
Gotfishyfingers? Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 If your asking about hotels, No there is nothing like that. Quote
gar-tracker Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 I stayed at Richardsons years ago and it was pretty rough, I usually opt for one of the places off 192. Luckily my buddy retired and moved to St Cloud. Quote
Dockhead Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 The Clarion Resort (I use the word "resort" loosely) hosts' tourneys, they have boat parking with electric hookups. It is located on Irlo Bronson Memorial Parkway, about 10-15 minutes from the downtown ramp. Stayed at Red's Fish Camp last December, it is really more of an rv place. The cabins looked (and smelled) like they had not been slept in for years. It is convenient, but I would not stay there again. I'd rather drive a bit and sleep somewhere comfortable - and clean. Oh, if you want to tent camp there is an rv park at Southport (ramp down south by the lock) that will accomodate tents. Quote
