Vinny Chase Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 has anyone added this to plastics? Why? Something other than garlic?Try it out. Because last night when i was added salt to my bag i saw onion powder and wondered if that would help out....i didnt have any garlic Quote
Eddie Munster Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Not to hijack the thread but Wise Potato Chips has an Onion & Garlic flavored that's mighty tasty. As far as onion powder, I doubt it will last very long unless you can somehow add it when you're making them. But give it a shot. What could it hurt? Quote
Eddie Munster Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 is this a joke? No; Wise Onion & Garlic Potato Chips REALLY are tasty! Quote
Big-O Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Onion is natural and will help mask human odor....will it work, IMO Yes and paste might be better than loose powder on outside of bait. Big O www.ragetail.com Quote

Super User grimlin Posted July 28, 2009 Super User Posted July 28, 2009 I don't see it staying on the bait once it gets in the water on the first cast. Anything on the outside of bait that doesn't penetrate or stick to the plastic lure is pretty much useless. Now if you combine it into the plastic, might work. However I don't know of any fish eating onions to be honest. IMO you are wasting salt & garlic by just adding into the bag. Quote
