swmofisher Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I've gotten my gf to go fishing with me a few times but i can't seem to get her to go with me that much. She always comes up with some kind of scapegoat. How can I get her to go with me more??? Quote
John G Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Sounds to me like she doesn't want to go fishin at all so why bother! Quote
Trever Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Fishing is my escape! leave her i say too! Quote
Super User tomustang Posted October 7, 2011 Super User Posted October 7, 2011 Wait, does this mean you're dating a Fishing Rod, Reel, Line, Leader, or Knot? Quote
Chris Wilson Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I got my girlfriend to go fishing with me. First time was easy. She didn't catch much. So onto the third time she wasn't really into it, so i set her up with a little rapala i had given her and she was catching fish. Does your gf catch anything? If not, make sure she does. Who hates going fishing when you're catching fish? Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted October 7, 2011 Super User Posted October 7, 2011 You must understand that some people don't care about the same things that you care about. If you really care for her , don't make a big deal out of it. Quote
Diggy Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Keep her home, tell her to warm the frying pan up Quote
Fishing Cowgirl Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Take her where there is a good chance she will catch fish, like a managed stocked lake, get some shiners and let her fish them. Once she get's to catching them regularly, you'll have a fishing partner. Especially after her first topwater fish! You may have to play guide a couple times, really focus on her but not too pushy. Don't take the rod from her if she hooks into a good one. That'd shut her down from fishing. (I've seen it happen, and about whacked my step-son over the head with my rod to keep him from snatching the rod from his GF) Quote
