tngreenhead Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I am fishing an ABA tournament out of KY Dam next week. Can y'all give me some suggestions of where to fish? What creeks should we practice in? Would you suggest Kentucky Lake or Barkley Lake? Thanks Also, We are staying in the Inn on the Lake at Gilbertsville. Is this place okay? Quote
tngreenhead Posted October 8, 2011 Author Posted October 8, 2011 Whoever moved this needs a geography lesson. Kentucky lake is in kentucky and Tennessee. Not exactly what I call the Northeast. Quote
bcaz01 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Whoever moved this needs a geography lesson. Kentucky lake is in kentucky and Tennessee. Not exactly what I call the Northeast. fished some sat. at kentucky, caught mine on pea gravel at front of small bay on east side close to the dam. saw a guide at the ramp and they caught fish in back of bays. there was a big tourny this weekend and the ones i saw were in the bays, but we had 2-3ft. waves on main lake so ledge fishing was impossible for most. I have not gotten that northeast thing, even UK is in south east conference. Quote
bcaz01 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 find the bait fish and you will find bass. good electronics help a lot Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted October 20, 2011 Super User Posted October 20, 2011 Whoever moved this needs a geography lesson. Kentucky lake is in kentucky and Tennessee. Not exactly what I call the Northeast. You are correct, almost. Both Tennessee and Kentucky are in the Navionics premium east chip, along with New England, etc. Neither is in the South. And why isn't Florida in the Navionics east, since it is further east than many of the states listed in the east. Go figure. In the case of the forum's divisions, Tennessee is in the Southeast division. Southeast Bass Fishing Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia Northeast Bass Fishing Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont The lines have to be drawn somewhere, and while all may not agree with the designations, it behooves us members to take note of which section contains the area we want to discuss. It's no big deal, since a rose is a rose is a rose. In "defense" of the move, your main reference was to Kentucky Lake, and then to Barkley which are both in Kentucky. Anyone who would follow and respond to posts regarding those two lakes would be looking in the Northeast area because that's where Kentucky is found. 1 Quote

smpen Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I see his point, and since West Virginia and Virginia are in the Southeast Forum it would seem only logical to put Kentucky in the Southeast also. Besides, try telling someone from Kentucky they are from the Northeast, lol. Quote
