Att is letting you either get a bill credit for the iPhone if you bought it in the last 30 days (since the price dropped yesterday) or you get exchange it for the 4S when it launches.

I have verizon

I hate to be the party pooper, but I hate iphones. Every one I have ever seen was broken within 2-3 weeks tops. When I was getting the upgrade for my phone, the sales rep told me they were glass. glass? really apple? a glass phone? HTC ftw.

Have had mine for about 6 months and have probably dropped it 10 times. Must be pretty decent glass, as I have no problem with mine.

Ditto but only had it a few weeks almost everyone in my platoon has iPhones we take them out in the field and none are broke a few don't even have cases on them I beat the he'll out of mine. Now just yesterday a HTC fell the length of te phone just tipped over and it shattered te screen that's the probably 5th HTC phone break at a drill.

Might just be that perfect hit on the phone? I had drop my Evo a few times But all on back side. So far luck been on my side there. My case might have helped though.

There's a reason Android sales have surpassed iPhone. Apple was the innovator there, but now they're playing catchup. Do some research. The stuff that they did to the iPhone this release still doesn't bring it up to the level of my almost year old Evo. No 4g? No Flash support? Disappointing.

There's a reason Android sales have surpassed iPhone.

That reason is that there are a multitude of manufacturers producing Android phones. Android is an OS and NOT a phone. A comparison between the two is ludicrous. It's a testament to the power of the iPhone that it is actually considered a competition. The iPhone will now be 3 phones (only one top of the line one) from 1 manufacturer. That it can compete in handsets sold against the an operating system that is sold by HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG, etc, etc all of which make multiple phones that are sold on all of the carriers networks is a sign of just how big the iphone is. Sprint is getting the iphone because their CEO said the number one reason that they are losing customers is that they switch to a carrier to get the iphone.

As to the features, 4G would be nice but it's not available in very many places and it is a battery HOG! Flash just flat out sucks. HTML 5 is much better and soon Flash will not be required. It's another resource hog.

Apple's whole business model with the iPhone is to use proven technology that works. They never were and never will be the cutting edge device because you experience a lot more problems on the cutting edge. They were slow to implement 3G and they'll be slow to implement 4G. They aren't going to implement something that causes the phone's battery to die within a couple of hours. It's just a different experience. If you want to be able to customize your phone whichever way you want and be on the bleeding edge then get a droid phone and be happy.

Yeah right.

What kind of magical substance does HTC use for the screen of their phones?

Broken iphones? Nah. Now worn out iphones, yeah.

I wore out my iphone4's home button in 13 months, which was one month over the warranty, they actually gave me a new one since I waiting in the store for 45min over the appointment time.

Oh, forgot to mention, I don't like apple/mac's nor am a apple fanboy, but the iphone4 was a best smartphone option when I bought it at ATT. MY wife picked the Galaxy which is nice and the galaxy 2 should be a better competitor

It's true that the apple smart phones are the biggest selling phones. But that's not my point. It's like Windows vs iOS. iOS is still there and making Apple a lot of money, but Windows is clearly the dominant OS in the market. It's a little different this time in that Apple had the top spot for a while.

Sprint is getting the iphone because their CEO said the number one reason that they are losing customers is that they switch to a carrier to get the iphone.

Sure, why wouldn't they do that? Even if only 1 out of 3 or 1 out of 4 walk away to get an iPhone, that's still a lost sale. Good business decision.

As to the features, 4G would be nice but it's not available in very many places and it is a battery HOG! Flash just flat out sucks. HTML 5 is much better and soon Flash will not be required. It's another resource hog.

I've not noticed either of those being battery hogs. The only folks I hear complaining about stuff like that are people that don't have them. :-)

I disagree. They come out with a cutting edge, innovative product and then get left behind because they're slow to keep up. They are, or were, the innovation kings. And we all benefit from that. But they don't move fast enough on existing products to keep from being outclassed pretty quickly.

I have nothing against Apple. But they do things their own way, and sometimes that puts them behind.

This was a simple question about an iPod Touch, not an opportunity to get on the bullhorn and blow hard about iPhone vs. Droid.

Hopefully the original question was answered.
