Super User Grey Wolf Posted October 3, 2011 Super User Posted October 3, 2011 DETROIT LIONS 4-0. Cowboys & Eagles 1-3 . What other teams have surpried you so far ? Quote
Super User grimlin Posted October 3, 2011 Super User Posted October 3, 2011 I wanna see the Detroit lions in the Superbowl and win it.Just because. It would be funny as hell that a team considering to be one of the worst in the past few decades actually pull one out by a miracle. Detroit would be glimmering with hope. Just never know..... Quote
GrundleLove Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Hope the lions go far, always been a huge fan of them. Their city/owners deserve it. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 3, 2011 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 3, 2011 Bills. They're doing quite well as are the 49'rs. Love how the Lions are doing, and the "favorites" are tanking! 49'rs beat the "dream team" Eagles last weekend, Cardinals barely lost to the Giants due to a bad call late in the game, and the Seahawks almost pulled one off over the Falcons in the final seconds of the game. All very competitive games against very good teams. And the NFC West is supposedly the worst division? Weren't games against the NFC all supposed to be cake-walks and blow-outs for the other teams? Seems the pundits got it all wrong this year*. LOL! Well...ok....the Rams are still old NFC West. 1 Quote
NateFollmer Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 The Ravens surprised me last night... with how TERRIBLE their offense was. The defense won that game... Surprised the Jet's didn't take that one. I knew the Packers were going to win also, but man, they played great. Quote
endless Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 My 49ers come back victory on Eagles shocked me! So far 3-1.Now if we can get Gore running like that more and get Braylon Edwards back! Detroit as well their comeback was great as well. I'm pleased and shock Matt Hasselback is having a good year, 104 rating in 4 games! All time shocker for me is Heyward-Bey!! A 100 yard game got to be his first!!! 164 on the year from 3 games and more yard this year than his rookie year. WTG Heyward-Bey!! Sorry Raiders had to do it but no really 115 yards on 4 rec is impressive really and that long 58 yder was a perfect catch. Now y'all just need Murphy back. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted October 3, 2011 Super User Posted October 3, 2011 My eagles havent surprised me this year, their pee poor defensive line has finally poured over to their offensive line. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted October 3, 2011 Super User Posted October 3, 2011 correction, cowboys are 2-2 lol Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted October 3, 2011 Super User Posted October 3, 2011 Been a hard core Lions fan for about 60 years, I'm elated. Calvin Johnson is incredible, first player in NFL history to catch 2 tds in first 4 games. Quote
preach4bass Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 DETROIT LIONS 4-0. Cowboys & Eagles 1-3 . What other teams have surpried you so far ? The Cowboys are 2-2. Good Tony showed up twice. Bad Tony showed up twice. He reminds me a whole lot of his idol Brett Favre. Oh well, I guess we've got to take the bad with the good. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted October 3, 2011 Super User Posted October 3, 2011 Tony Romo is not the future of the Dallas Cowboys ! Quote
preach4bass Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Tony Romo is not the future of the Dallas Cowboys ! As a fan, I don't always like the fact that he is the (immediate) future of our franchise, but it is a fact. Quote
GTrombly Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 The Cowboys are 2-2. Good Tony showed up twice. Bad Tony showed up twice. He reminds me a whole lot of his idol Brett Favre. Oh well, I guess we've got to take the bad with the good. Romo will never be anything Brett Favre was. Quote
preach4bass Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Romo will never be anything Brett Favre was. Packers fans remember Favre's 3-touchdown games, but they remember his 3-interception games, too. Favre and Romo are cut from the same cloth. They're both tough, athletic, gunslinging quarterbacks, who have a tendency to make poor decisions that cost their teams wins. That's what Favre was. That's what Romo is. I just hope Romo can lead us to a few playoff runs before he retires.....then comes back.....then retires again.....then comes back again.....then.....well, you get the point! Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted October 3, 2011 Super User Posted October 3, 2011 Like the old saying goes, it'll get worse before it get's better. Also, I agree that Tony Romo is the future of the franchise. I may not be ecstatic about it, but it is what it is. You can get good and Bad tony. We've seen GREAT Tony Romo for 12 quarters. We've also seen Tony have 2 HORRENDOUS quarters, both being 4th quarters. Interesting fact though, he has more 4th quarter comebacks, than 4th quarter losses. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted October 3, 2011 Author Super User Posted October 3, 2011 correction, cowboys are 2-2 lol Sorry about that , I stand corrected. Quote
endless Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Grant Romo makes mistakes but the play Houston I felt like it was just a great play by Houston than a bad throw by Romo by the highlights I've seen. But I wouldn't blame all the games on Romo either. Grant the man has bad games but since he started his rating by season is above 90% and his career counting last game against Detroit his rating is 95%. I think those are good rating for someone with so much hate. Far as losing to Detroit yes it's sad to went back for TD's against Romo but Calvin Johnson with triple coverage still got the TD. Calvin is a monster but come on in triple coverage? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=617nhhDFomA Definitely Amazing TD by Calvin Johnson. Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 4, 2011 Super User Posted October 4, 2011 The Deadskins. They may do well this season and make the playoffs. Quote

Sfritr Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Being a Lions fan and know how passionate the fans in Detroit are even after 60 years of punishment only makes it THAT much more exciting to be a fan this year Lions Tigers and frozen Russians, oh my!!!!!! Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted October 4, 2011 Super User Posted October 4, 2011 Being a Lions fan and know how passionate the fans in Detroit are even after 60 years of punishment only makes it THAT much more exciting to be a fan this year Lions Tigers and frozen Russians, oh my!!!!!! You Must go through the hard times - that's what makes a Championship that much Sweeter. I'm not convinced that the Lions are here to stay but there making it allot easier to be a fan this season. As a Long time Pats fan, there were seasons of only 1 or 2 wins. They were back a ways, but I remember them quite well. The Pats haven't won it all in a bit but they've been in contention almost every year. I'd like to see the Lions go all the way, but when you haven't been close in a while it's tough to do.
