Hop Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I just returned from the coast fishing the inlets and marshes catching reds, trout, and flounder. I caught many of them on Berkley Saltwater Gulp. I have several of them left over and know I won't be a the coast for at least another year. I was wondering if they would work in freshwater? Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted July 22, 2009 Super User Posted July 22, 2009 They work just fine, have used them or similar , in fact I only use saltwater soft baits in freshwater. Quote
aarogb Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I know of a guy that used the shrimp as a jig trailer. He caught fish too. Quote
mrlitetackle Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 i have used them in fresh as well......... they preform just fine. Quote
Cracker Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Yup they work great! I personally like using DOA shrimp rigged tail first the bass love them I caught this little 2lb 12ounce beauty last weekend on one that I "customized" I left a clear silver glitter shrimp in a bag with some watermelon senkos and it absorbed the green and then I had the tail sittin on a red color worm and the tail soaked up the red it looked really cool and it worked Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I have used the minnow ones that look like flukes for bass and they nail em just fine! Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted July 23, 2009 Super User Posted July 23, 2009 Doa cal paddle tails are great, but I recently bought some mirrolure saltwater paddle tails and they are a bit heavier and lot more durable. Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted July 26, 2009 Super User Posted July 26, 2009 from my understanding is that the ''gulp'' liquid is the same wether it is used for salt water or fresh water , the only difference is that the baits are different ( sardines, crabs, ect.. for saltwater / worms and such for freshwater ) ...
