-HAWK- Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 If you haven't tried the Lake Fork Live magic Shad, your missing out. http://www.***.com/descpageLFSPLFSB-LFLMS.html I have been doing very well this summer with this bait. It can be rigged weedless or on a jig head. I really cant say enough about this bait, just wanted to share with everyone. I'm sure most already know the potential of this bait. I'm posting this for everyone that doesn't. Try these options for rigging: http://www.***.com/descpageTERMYAMA-YSJH.html http://www.***.com/descpage-OTLW.html Quote
Dixon Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Great bait for sure. I dont really like it on a jighead. Where I fish it gets hung up all the time. Quote
Captain Obvious Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 When I am looking for bigger fish I use it like a senko and it works really well that way. I kinda like to think of it as a jig use a senko for numbers a Magic shad for quality. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted July 24, 2009 Super User Posted July 24, 2009 wow i have three packs of these and i have NEVER used them....i need to.... Quote
Super User Raul Posted July 24, 2009 Super User Posted July 24, 2009 I have them and find them to be a better option than the bait they were copied from ( Imakatsu Javalon ), if you are thinking you are better purchasing the Javalon think it twice and then go and purchase the Live Magic Shiner. Super User J Francho Posted July 24, 2009 Super User Posted July 24, 2009 Put it on a flick shake hook.... Quote

But, I have never tried the magic shad. Quote

But, I have never tried the magic shad. I have both, that 's why I say they are a better option to the Javalon. Differences: They look identical but the head in the Live Magic is slightly longer which allows you to rig it perfectly, for ex. with the 4.5" Javalon I always had this problem to rig it T-weedles with a 3/0 hook, I really stuggled to make the darn hook fit, with the Live Magic I don 't have the same problem because the head is slighlty longer. The Javalon does have a slightly better action beacuse it 's softer, only problem being softer is that if you sneeze hard on it it tears down to pieces. The Live magic is harder and lasts longer. Cheaper per unit and more readily available. Quote
