Super User Sam Posted September 30, 2011 Super User Posted September 30, 2011 B.A.S.S. announced that it is returning to Richmond, Virginia for one of its 2012 Northern Division tournaments. This year I worked the event with hookingem and it was fantastic. Hookingem and I met Boyd Duckett at a boat ramp and Ike plus many other pros and local bass fishermen. We saw so many pros fishing the Chickahominy River we had no idea of who we were seeing or waving to. I am undecided if I want to go as a nonboater just to fish with the pros. I may be drawn out with someone who is not a pro and who has not fished tidal rivers which would be a bummer. I thhink I will just work the event again. Everyone in Virginia who wants to fish a tournament, meet the bass pros and have the opportunity to fish out of a bass boat on one, two or three of the rivers can consider signing up as a nonboater. See you at the weigh-ins!!!!!! Quote

Super User Sam Posted October 1, 2011 Author Super User Posted October 1, 2011 Go to the BASS web site and click on open tournaments. You have to be a member of BASS. You will learn a lot and have a fun time. Quote
Gotfishyfingers? Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I've fished as a non-boater in the southern division last year as well as be a marshal for the elites. Both experiences were awesome and i plan on doing it again next year. Quote
s13john Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Will do is their a richmond bass club that does non boaters Quote
Jaydee Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Hello s13john I'm a boater in the same club as sam. We do accept non boaters and are currently taking applications for new members. Let sam or I know if your are interested. Quote
s13john Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Yah definatly me and a bud bolth were looking to step our fishing game up and theirs no better way than to fish with new people Quote
WdyCrankbait Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 S13, I'm in the same club with Jaydee and Sam, come on and join us! Great time and you should learn a lot. I've had a great time fishing with the club this year. Jaydee, you are fishing this next year right?!?!?!? Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 5, 2011 Author Super User Posted October 5, 2011 S13, we are collecting 2012 dues at our October and November meetings as they have to be in to B.A.S.S. by December 1st. We fish the local Virginia waters from Gaston and Buggs up to the Potomac and down to the James system. If you join you will find out that the nonboater fee of $50 per tournament is much better than getting a guide for the day as you will be fishing with someone who knows the waters an you will learn a lot. And you will probably wax Wdycrankbait's fanny like we all do. Quote
Jaydee Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Wow sam you better be ready for woody. Yea woody I'm gonna have to fish this one this coming year! I hated missing this past one, especially when Jon was weighing in the final day at bass pro shop! Very exciting! Quote
hookingem Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I want to non-boat your club this year Sam too but you never give me the info! Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 7, 2011 Author Super User Posted October 7, 2011 Updating new member letter and will send it to you. We start collecting 2012 dues this month. Would love to have you in the club along with your dad if he has the time. Quote
