the crab Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 pyrex cup, until it turns to liquid Quote
Mobydick Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I second the Pyrex, and run it on a VERY low temp setting. Mine took about 3 minutes to melt on level 2 out of 10 temp setting. Once it turns really clear then your good to go! Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted October 11, 2011 Super User Posted October 11, 2011 How do you melt worm plastic in a microwave and for how long? Are you melting new plastisol or old worms? There is a difference. Quote
BriBass Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 And you must STIR!!!! dont just throw it in and cook for 3 min... you will scortch it and the fumes are toxic. heat for 1 min then stir, heat for 1 min and stir, repeat... and it will be comes thick and keep repeating the process... after the thick stage it will start to become liquid and ready to go! *** this is fresh plastisol though.. not if your just reheating old worms Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted October 26, 2011 Super User Posted October 26, 2011 I do a 1 minute at first on new and old. Then I do 30-45 seconds with a lot of stiring. You also need to get some heat stabilizer to keep the scorching down. Quote
