mike304 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Hey guys, Hadn't even heard of these until a few weeks ago. Have run into 2 or 3 guys recently that swear by them. One guy told me that they are soaked in shrimp oil and the fish hold on longer. Anyone using them? Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Never heard of them, but after checking out TW, I really like the looks of that V-Tail Crawler finesse worm... Quote
Super User 5bass Posted July 22, 2009 Super User Posted July 22, 2009 I've been using the Keitech stuff for a couple months now. The Little Spiders are great baits. They are thinner than the typical hula grub and hooksets are not a problem. The tails being so thin make 'em stand straight up when on the bottom too. The tungsten jigs are real nice. Good weedguard, extra sharp hook, tungsten head for maximum sensitivity. I've had some good luck with the Live Impact worm too. They dont have an overpowering smell by any means but the fish wont drop 'em once they grab it. It's definitely got something that the fish like. The Live Impact worm was a very productive bait during the spawn. ExtremeLures.com (a board sponsor) carries Keitech. Quote
Super User Tin Posted July 22, 2009 Super User Posted July 22, 2009 Lake George and Sacandaga right next to you and you have never used Little Spiders?! ;D Quote
Md Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 The Live Impacts are a great bait. I was handed some at the Stren 1000 Islands last year and had some success. I ordered some from TW over the winter and they weren't shrimp scented like the ones given to me, and don't seem to work as well. The shrimp scented ones given to me were some of the strongest, most vile smelling baits I've ever used. One good whiff would turn your stomach. As a matter of fact, when the dude gave them to me, he told me to smell them. After I almost lost my lunch, and he got up off the floor of his boat wiping the tears from his eyes and still laughing, I was slightly amused too... ;D!!! Quote
Super User 5bass Posted July 23, 2009 Super User Posted July 23, 2009 The Keitech Live Impact worms seem to have that special texture that only a few other baits have....the Yamamoto baits and the Jackall soft baits. Good stuff. Quote
mike304 Posted July 23, 2009 Author Posted July 23, 2009 Lake George and Sacandaga right next to you and you have never used Little Spiders?! ;D I actually don't fish lake george that much, even though its only 3 miles away. can't afford to put a boat on it during the summer. :'( Quote
Pantera61 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I am less than enthusiastic with Keitech jigs. I was using the 1/32 oz model and a 2 lb bass crushed the hook. I don't know if it resembled the letter "G" or the numeral "6". I landed the bass but the bait was shot. Quote
Bass Bass Bass Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I have had very good success with the little spider grubs and the swim baits. Quote
