Nc Smallmouth Locations

I do not have experience in Smallmouth and a friend asked where to go. So here's the question: Where's the best action for smallmouth in North Carolina?

[Fontana Finesse Man]

Western end of state Fontana is probably the best smallmouth lake in NC. Smallmouth bass in Lake Santeelah and Lake Chatuge and Hiwassee Lake.

Not sure if there is anything east of here that has smallmouth besides some creeks and rivers.
