Just bought the 7'2" Worm and Jig Sellus. I used it the day I bought it and caught a couple nice ones on it. I love the feel of the rod, I put my Abu Garcia Cardinal 404i on it, I like that reel too I think their a good match. I didn't see any other rods in the store I would have rather bought. This one had the best feel and I liked the reel seat and guides. A lot of rods have these guides on them that look like crap IMO. There were rods for 100$+ in the store and I chose the Sellus over them happily. Can't wait to use this rod again, very light and sensitive and casts really well.

I would buy more if I had the money or need for them. I am bugging all my friends to grab one though haha

I want to know, i haven't got the chance to use my rod. Shimano Sellus MHXF 7'2" WORM&JIG. Paired with Pflueger Trion baitcasting reel, 30lb braid line with chatterbait?

Is there a question here?

I'm interested in the Convergence rod. It's the same price point as the Sellus, but looks to have the same reel seat as the Compre. And, I like the black color better.

Anyone tried one of these out yet?

One thing about Shimano’s “lowerend” Rods is that they give a lot of bang for the buck. I know you won’t regret it. My use of the quotes indicates they’re low end in price not quality and value.

I have one of these, the dropshot model, and other than a paint chip or 2 I have no complaints. It performs way better than the $50 I paid for it should.
