lynyrdsky1 Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Was just watching ncis and noticed when denozo made a reference to a movie he was wrong!! the actor said that in the movie angel with dirty faces(1938) that bogey(humphrey bogart) was a priest and cagney(james cagney) was a gangster. this is only half true. Cagney was a gangster and bogart was in the movie but bogart wasn't a priest that was pat obrien. Bogart was a crooked lawyer that cagney kills at the end of the film. Like to just point out how sad my life is that I can point this out.... Quote
Red Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I always point out mistakes I see ion movies/TV shows. Drives my wife nuts. Cliff Quote

guitarkid Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 man I used to correct my history teachers all the time. I eventually gave up and started zoning out in those classes. -gk Quote
lynyrdsky1 Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 I tried correcting my teachers but that usually doesn't get me anywhere haha. If they are wrong they are wrong nothing you can do about it but listen to it. Quote
Shad_Master Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Its good to have a hobby and there is nothing wrong in pointing out obvious, provable mistakes - but let me tell you about something that an old fella once told me. This guy was not a big time celebrity but people knew him whereever he went and would take the time to talk with him. One day I asked him how be got to be so popular. He said: "Never back a person into a corner so far that they can't get out with losing their dinity". This has become words to live by for me. Quote
Super User Sam Posted September 21, 2011 Super User Posted September 21, 2011 There are a lot of bloopers in the movies. The first release of the Star Wars movies has a blooper in one of the fight scenes. Another old film that has a story about the crusades had an airplane vapor stream in one scene. I read that the filming of JAWS had a number of reshoots due to background problems. If you Google movie bloopers you can find them. Some of them are funny. Quote
