Bass_Fanatic Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Hey guys I am in need of upgrading my spinnerbait/topwater rod. Right now I am using a 6'9" Vendetta and it works, but I am looking for something a little less stiff. I like the length of 6'9" for these techniques, but Im not sure which rod to get as I have never used either. I would think the Crucial Reaction series would handle my 3/8 spinnerbaits/chug bugs/buzzbaits and it sounds like the right rod. Matter of fact I was set on it until I found the Loomis JBR813C for $148. Now Im confused. Will the Loomis work for these application? Or am I better off with the Crucial? If not either, what do you suggest? Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted September 21, 2011 Super User Posted September 21, 2011 Both rods will work fine, really. I've fished the JBR with spinnerbaits before and it makes a nice rod for 1/4 ounce baits. The tips are really, really responsive in that series, they do really well with Spooks and Sammys. Quote
