drop-shot fool Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I went fishing this past weekend and was catching some good fish on a gunfish. Once the bass quit schooling i couldn't figure out how to catch them. I grabbed a homeade slab spoon and just started fancasting it. I was catching 4lb spotted bass and 4 and 5lb largemouth on it. I figured a flutter spoon would really work since it is made for that kind of fishing. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted July 20, 2009 Super User Posted July 20, 2009 The most popular color is just chrome. Paint or decorative tape is not necessary or needed. Quote
mrbassky68 Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Pretty sure it would work when the paint wears off and its just silver. The only difference in a stike king spoon and other popular ones is it doesnt have a feathered treble while some others do . Just something to consider. Quote
aarogb Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 I agree with Wayne. The most popular colors are either silver (chrome) or gold. That being said, I like War Eagle spoons or Acme Kastmasters. Quote
