TaaNop Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Lake pickthorne is a really small lake surrounded by an accessible levee all the way around and a few docks near the boat launch. It's between Jacksonville and Cabot if that's not too far for you. You have to get off in Jacksonville and take the feeder road towards Cabot, pay close attention or you'll definitely pass it. 1 Quote
BradH Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 If you can get on Camp Robinson in NLR there are some lakes there with decent shore access. Quote
Ross Everett Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Hi Charles , I could write you a book on Little Rock shore fishing locations , as I have spent 30 years in AR fishing from the shore. Two suggestions for you, 1. find a good canoe or kayak (either one can really open up your options) 2. find a good friend with a boat and a passion for Bass fishing , lol. I will give you several places to try that should keep you busy for a while ,and if you have any questions feel free to pm me on here. You might also pick up an Arkansas Sportsman Atlas from Arkansas Game and Fish or a book store. Saline River access under I-30 bridge just southwest of Benton (lots of open shoreline along park with access to deep pools as well as shallow riffles) several more good access points downstream throughout National Forest land. Alum Fork of Saline River north of I-30 at Lake Winona off Hwy 9 (great wade fishing and canoe fishing area) good area just down from Lake Winona spillway. Victory Lake in Burns Park (fairly large lake separated from Arkansas River by rock jetty , when river floods it replenishes Lake with fresh stock) I caught a 5 pounder out of there one time. Lakewood Lakes in North Little Rock have some nice bass in most of them ( be very respectful and clean up after yourself as they are all in residential areas , several with park access) 1 Quote
