Plain Ol' Twirl Tail Worm

Any of you all ever still use the plain ol' twirl tail worm, just a plain worm with a C curled tail?? I don't know a lot about plastics fishing but it seems to me this is almost an outdated bait. I have some though and I like them pretty well. But I don't see a lot of them being offered for sale around here or in catalogs.

My only 4 pounder came off of one this year.I could tell she spawned out when I caught her earlier this year Laugh all you want but I'm a big fan of the Luck E strike ones(walmart has em'). The ones I have smell like strawberries for some odd reason! They catch fish though!

The ones I am using are Renegade (walmart brand). They smell sweet too, not like your typical fishing bait. Reminds me of licorice candy. I got them a long time ago, and then never used them. They have been in the attic for a long time now, and I got them out the other day and now the pink/firetail ones have faded out nearly clear with a pinkish tint.

When "rubber" worms first came out, weren't they grape jelly scented? Now we have coffee scented tubes, so why not strawberry scented worms.

tx rigged 4 in powerworms in watermelon. caught hundreds of fish of that combo.

LOL...I think it's the plastic though.....I was almost tempted to taste it myself since it smelled so good to me.

I've got some Luck E Strike worms like mentioned above in Tequila Sunrise. I've got 4 or 5 packs cause' they were a dollar. Very nice and I love the raspberry(?) smell to them. Not real durable though, I have to change em' after 2 fish.

Bass like smelly worms, no scent worms, dark worms and colorful worms. Bass like worms with ridges and bass like smooth worms. yes, bass like worms, all sorts of worms. So no, worms are never out dated.

Luckily, the bass don't read the same magazines and message boards as the fisherman. If they did they'd know how outdated these worms are and how uncool it would be to eat them.

I wish they would be outdated. Then I'd be the only one at the lake using them. If they haven't seen it in a while, they can't be conditioned to it.

I've tasted a bunch of them. I'm bad to grab one out of a bag and put it between my lips while I hunt for other tackle like hooks and sinkers. Zoom's salty worms aren't too bad. Powerbait isn't as bad as you would think either.
