Guest Texas_Bass_Pro Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I just bought some Lake Fork "LIVE" MAGIC SHAD. I have never seen this bait before and was wondering if anybody here has. Quote
Curado Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I have seen it before, but don't own one and haven't fished it. It does look like it could be good though. Quote
Captain Underpants Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Yeah! Actually, I was staring at them in a tackle show at the Oklahoma fairgrounds, and a "state pro" who happened to own a bait shop which sold the things started on a sales pitch with me. Actually got convinced that this thing was worth it and was about to buy some when he gave me a complementary pack of 'em. He also told me to use a hook that has a screw-lock in the front (Diachii makes them) so that the bait would last longer. If you reel them in nice and steady near cover, they sure look real! Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted February 26, 2007 Super User Posted February 26, 2007 Its a knock off of the Imakatsu Javallon. Never tried either, hear a few good things though. Quote
lunchbox508 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 It was in In-Fisherman and as soon as i saw it i baught it. I currently own 8 of them and the fish hit these like crazy here in Texas. They produce large amounts of fish for me. I am going to try it at Fork this weekend and hopefully I will get plenty of Pics. Just another comment on it, my 8 yearold cousin caught a 6.5 pounder on this lure the first time he ever fished last weekend! Quote
Brad_Coovert Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I have not fished them yet, but they look awesome in the water. I just gave some to one of my clients to try at Fork this week. I really like Lake Fork baits and I decided to carry some of the 4 packs in my store and my first order sold out in three days. More are on the way and I already have guys wanting those. Needless to say, this is a hot bait somewhere. Brad Quote
RottManK9 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I wouldn't mind giving these a try. I'll have to keep my eye out for them. I can honestly say I don't think I've ever seen them in any of the stores I shop. Quote
lunchbox508 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 You might try walmart. I got mine at the walmart in Terrell,Texas on the way to Fork one weekend. Quote
KenDammit28 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I have two just dying to be fished. One is white and the other is Watermelon/Red. Randall helped me out and told me about them being an imitation of the imakatsu swimmer. If you wanna have a look at it in action(sort of) go to http://www.imakatsu.co.jp/products/pro_a018e.html theres a link to a windows media file..just watch it and it'll make you die to go out and throw one of these.
